PROPERTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
GUEST CONDUCT
Guests are expected to maintain respectful behavior at all times.
Harassment, aggressive language, or inappropriate conduct toward staff or other guests will not be tolerated.
Guests are requested to wear appropriate footwear and keep their upper body covered when in all common areas and shared spaces of the hotel.
Guests are not permitted to take food or beverages out of the hotel dining area.
SMOKING AND SUBSTANCE USE
Responsible consumption of alcohol is always expected.
Bringing outside alcohol into public hotel areas (pool, lounges, event venues) is not permitted.
Disorderly behavior due to intoxication will result in removal from the venue or property.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all guest rooms and indoor public areas. A deep cleaning fee of €300 will be charged for any violations.
The use or possession of illegal substances as well as fireworks will lead to immediate eviction without refund and may be reported to authorities.
ROOM OCCUPANCY AND VISITORS
Maximum room occupancy must be respected; additional overnight guests must be registered in advance.
All visitors must check in at the front desk and provide valid identification.
Housekeeping will not enter rooms while “Do Not Disturb” signs are displayed, but excessive mess or damage reported by staff may require early access for inspection.
Only guests registered through the wedding block may access guest rooms and event venues.
No external visitors are permitted on property without prior coordination with the Event Manager or Front Desk.
DAMAGE AND LOSS
Guests are responsible for any loss, breakage, or damage to hotel property caused during their stay
Any items removed from the room (e.g., linens, robes, electronics) will be charged to the guest’s account
The hotel is not responsible for personal items left unattended in public areas
The hotel reserves the right to charge a €200 cleaning fee for rooms requiring substantially more cleaning than normal, due to issues such as excessive mess, stains, damage, or discarded items.
The hotel is not responsible for theft or loss of items not deposited at the reception for safekeeping or in the rooms safe.
NOISE AND QUIET HOURS
After 10:00 PM, noise in guest room areas and hallways must be kept to a minimum.
Outdoor music and amplified sound are not permitted pre-approved through the Events Office.
Staff may issue reminders or formal warnings in the event of excessive noise.
USE OF SHARED FACILITIES
Wedding guests may enjoy resort amenities such as the pool, lounge, and gardens, but must respect capacity limits and posted rules.
Pool and lounge areas may close early if group behavior presents a safety or liability risk.
SAFETY, SECURITY AND EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS
Emergency exits and fire safety protocols must be followed at all times.
In case of injury, medical need, or guest conflict, staff will respond immediately and notify both security and the wedding hosts as appropriate.
Unsafe behavior (e.g., climbing structures, open flames in rooms, fireworks, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
GUEST ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By checking in and attending events at Cigarral de las Mercedes, guests agree to abide by this policy, and understand that violations may impact their stay or participation in hosted wedding activities.
CREDIT CARD PRE-AUTHORIZATION
At the time of check-in, a pre-authorization of €100 per night will be made on the credit card provided by the guest as a guarantee to cover any additional charges, damages, extraordinary expenses, or any outstanding balance incurred during the stay.
The pre-authorization does not constitute an actual charge and will be released after check-out. The release period will depend on the card-issuing bank.
